  • O-ring for impeller cover on Dolphin C-700, C-1000, C-1300 and C-1600

    O-ring for impeller cover on Dolphin C-700, C-1000, C-1300 and C-1600

O-ring for impeller cover on Dolphin C-700, C-1000, C-1300 and C-1600 The o-ring for the impeller cover on Dolphin C-700 to C-1600 canister filters is an important sealing part that helps maintain proper water flow and overall filtration performance. This o-ring creates a tight, reliable seal around the impeller chamber, preventing leaks, pressure loss and reduced circulation inside the filter. Over time, o-rings can become flattened, brittle or stretched from regular use, which can lead to small leaks or decreased output. Replacing the worn o-ring with the correct size for your model instantly restores the secure seal required for smooth, quiet and efficient operation. Made from durable, aquarium-safe rubber, this replacement o-ring is designed to fit the C-700, C-1000, C-1300 and C-1600 models precisely. It installs easily and is a simple but essential part of routine filter maintenance. Keeping a spare o-ring on hand helps prevent downtime and ensures your aquarium system continues running at its best after each cleaning cycle. Suitable for both freshwater and marine environments, this o-ring supports stable tank conditions by helping your filter maintain strong water movement and dependable filtration.

  • Hailea HAP Diaphragm Hailea HAP Diaphragm

    Hailea HAP Diaphragm

Hailea HAP  Diaphragm  In both Hailea HAP models, the diaphragm is a rubber membrane inside the compressor that flexes back and forth to move air: As the diaphragm pulls back, air is drawn in. As it pushes forward, air is forced out at pressure. These movements create continuous airflow without oil contamination. Hailea uses special artificial rubber diaphragms for steady output and long service life. The diaphragm itself is the core air‑moving component in both the HAP‑60 and the larger HAP‑120.  Diaphragm Function in HAP‑60 vs HAP‑120 Feature HAP‑60 HAP‑120 Air Output ~60 L/min ~120 L/min Pressure (Max) >0.035 MPa >0.038 MPa Power Draw ~45–55 W ~90–125 W Noise ~<40 dB ~<45 dB Diaphragm Role Moves smaller/less air per stroke Moves more air faster per stroke What This Means for the Diaphragm HAP‑60 diaphragm Sized to move about 60 L per minute. Works well for medium aquariums, ponds, and hydroponics. Flexes at a rate and amplitude tuned to its motor. HAP‑120 diaphragm Larger and energized by a higher‑power motor, so it moves twice the air (~120 L/min). Handles higher pressure and larger systems (big koi ponds, commercial aeration). Still uses special artificial rubber like the HAP‑60 for long life, just built for more capacity.  In both models, the diaphragm material and function are fundamentally the same — it’s just scaled up in the HAP‑120 for bigger airflow and pressure. Common Diaphragm Characteristics in Both Units ✔ Oil‑free design — no contamination, safe for aquatic life.✔ Artificial rubber construction — designed for durability and consistent performance.✔ Steady air output — even under continuous use with minimal wear.✔ Part of a damping and muffler system — reduces vibration and noise from the diaphragm motion. Practical Differences The HAP‑120 diaphragm must handle a higher workload (more air moved per minute), so the pump and diaphragm assembly are physically larger and paired with a stronger motor. The HAP‑60 diaphragm is smaller and efficient for everyday medium‑duty use. Summary Both the HAP‑60 and HAP‑120 use rubber diaphragms that operate in the same basic way - flexing to pump air. The difference lies in size and capacity: HAP‑60 diaphragm: smaller, moves ~60 L/min - great for moderate setups. HAP‑120 diaphragm: larger, moves ~120 L/min - ideal for big ponds or commercial use.

  • Hailea ACO Diaphragm

    Hailea ACO Diaphragm

Diaphragm ACO A diaphragm is a flexible membrane (usually made of rubber or silicone) that flexes to move air or fluid by changing the volume inside a chamber. In many conventional aquarium air pumps (like the Hailea HAP series), the diaphragm vibrates back and forth, drawing air in and pushing it out to create airflow.  Diaphragm pumps rely on this flexible membrane as the main moving part to generate airflow. The diaphragm’s motion draws air through one‑way valves and forces it out through the outlet tube. These diaphragms are replaceable parts in pumps that use them. What Hailea ACO Compressors Actually Use However, the Hailea ACO series (e.g., ACO‑208, ACO‑308, ACO‑318, ACO‑328, ACO‑009D, ACO‑388D, ACO‑380) are not diaphragm air pumps.  These units use a piston‑driven compressor mechanism rather than a flexible diaphragm to create airflow. That means:They do not have a large rubber diaphragm driving the air output. Instead, an internal piston moves back and forth to pull air in and compress it before pushing it out. This method provides higher pressure and larger volume than typical diaphragm air pumps and is why ACO compressors are often used when heavier aeration or industrial‑style compressed air is needed. So What Replaces the Diaphragm? In a Hailea ACO compressor, the components responsible for moving air and sealing the compression chamber are: Piston & cylinder assembly — the primary moving parts that compress air. Wear‑resistant materials (like SF3) inside the piston/cylinder to reduce friction and extend life. Valves and seals that let air flow in one direction and keep pressure up. Oil‑free design keeps compressed air clean. Because of this design, there’s no simple diaphragm spare part like you’d replace in a traditional diaphragm style air pump. One Exception (Older/Specific ACO Models) There are older or specific very small Hailea ACO models (like ACO‑9720 / ACO‑9730) that did use diaphragms and for which replacement diaphragms are still sold. For example: A pair of replacement diaphragms for the Hailea ACO‑9720 / ACO‑9730 exists as a spare part, indicating some older units did use a diaphragm design. If your unit is one of those older, smaller ACO pump models, then diaphragm parts might exist — but for nearly all modern Hailea ACO compressors sold today, you won’t find a replaceable diaphragm part because the pump design doesn’t include one. Why This Matters Understanding whether your pump uses a diaphragm or a piston system helps in: Troubleshooting performance issues Ordering the correct spare parts Deciding on maintenance or repair strategies Traditional diaphragm pumps: Replace the diaphragm when worn. Hailea ACO piston compressors: Address piston/cylinder wear, seals or valves when performance drops. Example Parts (General Diaphragm Spares for Other Pumps) Here are general diaphragm replacement parts (not specific to Hailea ACO compressors, but illustrative of the type of diaphragms found in pumps . These show the kind of flexible membrane parts used in diaphragm systems — but again, Hailea ACO compressors don’t use these types of diaphragms in their airflow mechanism. Summary Hailea ACO compressors generally use piston mechanisms, not rubber diaphragms, to make air. That means there’s no main airflow diaphragm to replace in most ACO units. Some very old or small ACO models (e.g., ACO‑9720 / ACO‑9730) did use diaphragms that can be replaced.
