Tropica Aquarium Soil is an excellent choice when planning a newly planted aquarium. This nutrient-dense, active substrate provides everything aquatic plants need to establish quickly and grow vigorously, without the need for additional bottom layers or fertilizers.
The carefully graded grain size is ideal for root-feeding plants, allowing strong root penetration and anchoring while promoting healthy circulation around the roots. Its natural dark color enhances the appearance of plants and stimulates vibrant color development, especially in red plant species.
Aquarium Soil acts as a complete, active bottom layer that gently lowers pH and slightly influences water chemistry, creating optimal conditions for most freshwater plants, fish, and shrimp.

How to Use:
Spread Tropica Aquarium Soil evenly in the aquarium with a recommended depth of 4–6 cm. It ensures active growth from the start and promotes intense plant coloration.
As it is an active substrate, it may influence water chemistry during the initial phase. We recommend changing 25–50% of the water at least twice a week for the first 4 weeks after setting up the aquarium.
How Much Soil Do I Need?
Use the following formula to calculate the required amount:
Length (cm) × Width (cm) × Desired Substrate Height (cm) ÷ 60 = Litres Needed
Tropica Aquarium Soil is the perfect foundation for creating a lush, healthy, and professional-looking planted aquarium. 🌿🐠
