Treat a wide range of fungal and bacterial infections in ornamental pond fish with Pond Medic Fungus Clear. This advanced freshwater medication is formulated to help control common diseases that affect koi, goldfish, and other ornamental pond fish, restoring fish health and preventing infections from worsening.

Fungus Clear is effective against cotton wool fungus, fin and tail rot, mouth rot, cloudy eyes, gill disease, swim bladder disease, dropsy, haemorrhagic septicaemia, and grey body slime (Costiasis). Early treatment can help improve recovery and reduce stress on affected fish.

Recognising Common Symptoms

Treatment is recommended if your fish show signs such as:

  • White or grey cotton-like growths on the body or fins
  • Red streaks on the body or fins
  • Frayed or eroding fins and tail
  • Mouth tissue deterioration
  • Grey or excessive body slime
  • Cloudy eyes
  • Swollen body with raised scales (pinecone appearance)
  • Clamped fins held close to the body
  • Difficulty swimming or maintaining buoyancy

Active Ingredients

  • Acriflavine
  • Methylene Oxide
  • Aminacridine

Directions for Use

  1. Calculate your pond volume:
    • Length × Width × Average Depth (metres) × 1000 = Total litres
  2. Fill a bucket with pond water.
  3. Shake the bottle vigorously before every application.
  4. Measure the required dosage.
  5. Mix the medication thoroughly into the bucket of water.
  6. Slowly pour the treated water into the pond inlet or an area with good water circulation.

Do not mix Fungus Clear with any other fish medications.

Dosage

  • 5 ml per 350 litres of pond water

Follow-Up Treatment

  • On Day 3, perform a 25% water change.
  • Repeat the treatment using enough medication to treat only the replacement water.
