Hailea BT Pump Impeller

Description

Hailea BT Pump Impeller

An impeller is the small rotor inside your water pump that actually moves the water. It’s a spinning blade/rotor mounted on a shaft that sucks water in and pushes it out through the outlet. Because it’s constantly moving, it’s also the part that wears out first in small aquarium and filter pumps. Proper cleaning and replacing it when worn keeps your pump running efficiently and quietly.

  • Hailea BT series pumps (e.g., BT-100B, BT-400, BT-700) use small impeller and rotor assemblies inside the pump housing as the moving element of the pump.

  • If the pump gets noisy, loses flow, or hums without moving water, the impeller may be worn, clogged, or damaged. Cleaning or replacing it often fixes the issue.

  • On many Hailea pumps, the impeller assembly can be removed for cleaning or replacement — usually by opening the pump housing and pulling or unthreading the impeller from the shaft.

Replacement Parts (Example / Similar Impeller Products

I couldn’t find a Hailea BT-series impeller specifically in current retail listings right now, but similar parts below show the type of component you’d look for when sourcing a replacement:

Impeller / Pump Replacement

  • WH150 Impeller — Small impeller for compact pumps (often lower flow).

  • WH400 Shaft and Impellor — Shaft + impeller assembly for a small-medium pump.

  • WH2500 Shaft and Impeller — Larger pump impeller set for more flow.

  • WH12000 Shaft and Impellor — Heavy-duty impeller part for large pumps.

  • AquaManta EFX Pro External Filter Impeller Set 1200/1500 — Example filter impeller set for external filters (different type but similar “replace impeller” idea).

Note: For your specific Hailea BT model, the impeller will be model-specific (e.g., BT-700 impeller). Often aquatics stores or Hailea dealers will sell the exact replacement impeller — search for the exact BT model name and “impeller” together (e.g., “Hailea BT700 impeller”).

How to Replace or Maintain the Impeller

  1. Unplug the pump first — safety first!

  2. Open the housing — usually a sealed cover or clips that let you reach the impeller housing.

  3. Remove the old impeller — it may pull off the shaft or unscrew, depending on design.

  4. Clean the housing too — debris on the shaft or housing can reduce performance.

  5. Fit the new impeller — make sure it’s correctly seated and spins freely.

  6. Reassemble and test in water.

Tips

  • Clean regularly: Mineral buildup or debris on the impeller blades and shaft reduces performance.

  • Replace periodically: Especially on older or heavily used pumps.

  • If you can’t find the exact impeller, ask an aquatic store to order one by the exact BT model number — impellers are very specific to pump design.
