Benefits
A stable aquascape is essential for creating a secure and attractive aquarium environment. Aquaforest Stone Fix makes it easier to connect large rock pieces and create solid structures that are less likely to shift.
The cement-based formula is particularly useful when building reef structures, ceramic rock arrangements and larger aquascapes, allowing you to create the desired shape and structure before introducing the finished arrangement into the aquarium.
Stone Fix can be applied outside the aquarium for the best results, while underwater application is also possible when required.
How to Use
For best results, prepare and apply Stone Fix outside the aquarium.
- Add the required amount of water to a suitable mixing container.
- Gradually add small amounts of Stone Fix powder to the water while continuously mixing.
- Continue mixing until you achieve a smooth, homogeneous consistency.
- Immediately begin applying the adhesive to the surfaces you want to connect.
- Position and join the individual rock or aquascaping elements.
- Leave the connected pieces undisturbed for approximately 15 minutes to allow the bond to establish.
Recommended Mixing Ratio
50ml (3 tablespoons) of water per 100g (½ cup) of Stone Fix.
For best results, gradually add the powder to the water while mixing continuously rather than adding all the powder at once.
Underwater Application
Stone Fix is recommended for use outside the aquarium whenever possible.
If underwater application is necessary:
- Switch off all circulation and auxiliary/shunt pumps before applying the product.
- Apply and position the rock pieces carefully.
- Allow approximately 15 minutes for the connected pieces to bond.
- Temporary water haziness may occur. This is not harmful to aquatic life.
Important: pH Considerations
Stone Fix can cause a temporary increase in aquarium pH.
When using the product in an aquarium containing livestock, it is recommended to glue no more than 2–3 pieces per day. This helps minimise the potential impact of the product on aquarium water parameters.
Monitor your aquarium's pH and other relevant parameters when performing larger aquascaping projects.
