AquaForest Mg Plus is a highly concentrated magnesium supplement designed to raise and maintain magnesium levels in marine and reef aquariums. It is ideal for managing magnesium deficiencies and correcting sudden drops in magnesium levels.

Magnesium plays an important role in maintaining healthy and balanced coral growth. Maintaining the appropriate magnesium level also supports the efficient absorption of calcium by corals. Low magnesium levels can make it difficult to maintain proper calcium levels and may contribute to reduced pH.

For reef aquariums, the recommended magnesium level is 1180–1460 mg/l (ppm).

Dosage

Old Formula — Without Red Badge on Label

10ml of Mg Plus per 100 litres (27 US gal) of aquarium water raises the magnesium level by approximately 7.5 mg/l (ppm).

Dosage should be determined based on water test results and the daily magnesium consumption of your corals.

  • Test your magnesium level before dosing.
  • Do not raise magnesium levels by more than 50 ppm per day.
  • Recommended magnesium level: 1180–1460 mg/l (ppm).

How to Use

  1. Test the magnesium level of your aquarium water before dosing.
  2. Determine the required dosage based on your test results and aquarium requirements.
  3. Add the appropriate amount of Mg Plus to the aquarium water.
