AquaForest Kalium 1L
AquaForest Kalium is a highly concentrated potassium supplement designed to help maintain appropriate potassium levels in marine and reef aquariums.
Potassium is an important element involved in neurological functions and plays a role in nutrient transport in soft corals. In SPS corals, insufficient potassium levels can contribute to faded pink and red coloration.
Potassium deficiency can be more common in aquariums using zeolite-based filtration media, making regular monitoring and balanced supplementation particularly important. AquaForest Kalium helps maintain the recommended potassium level while supporting strong red and pink coloration in SPS corals.

Benefits
- Helps maintain stable potassium levels
- Supports nutrient transport in soft corals
- Helps prevent faded pink and red SPS coloration associated with potassium deficiency
- Supports stronger red and pink coral coloration
- Helps replenish potassium that may be depleted through aquarium filtration
- Supports balanced reef aquarium water parameters
Recommended Potassium Level
The recommended potassium concentration in reef aquarium water is:
360–420 mg/l (ppm)
Regular water testing is recommended to monitor potassium levels and determine the appropriate supplementation rate.
Dosage
10ml of AquaForest Kalium per 100 litres (27 US gal) of aquarium water increases the potassium level by approximately 10 mg/l (ppm).
Maximum Daily Dose
Do not exceed 20ml per 100 litres of aquarium water per day.
If a higher dose is required, divide the total required amount across several days.
How to Use
- Test your aquarium water to determine the current potassium level.
- Calculate the required dosage based on your water test results.
- Add the appropriate amount of Kalium to the aquarium.
- Monitor potassium levels regularly.
- Adjust supplementation as required to maintain the recommended range.
- If a higher correction is required, split the dose over several days.
Important Information
Aquariums using zeolite-based filtration media may experience increased potassium depletion. Regular testing is recommended in these systems.
