AquaForest Cobaltum 200ml
AquaForest Cobaltum is a concentrated trace-element supplement designed to help maintain appropriate cobalt levels in marine and reef aquariums.
Cobalt is an essential element for living organisms and plays an important role in various biological processes. It supports fish coloration and contributes to the growth of certain beneficial algae, bacteria, and marine organisms. Cobalt is also involved in metabolic processes and forms part of vitamin B12.
Regular monitoring and controlled supplementation can help maintain balanced cobalt levels according to the specific requirements of your aquarium.

Recommended Cobalt Level
The recommended cobalt concentration in aquarium water is:
0.0001–0.0006 mg/l (ppm)
Regular water testing is recommended to determine the current cobalt level and whether supplementation is required.
Dosage
1ml of AquaForest Cobaltum per 100 litres (27 US gal) of aquarium water increases the cobalt level by approximately 0.0005 mg/l (ppm).
Maximum Daily Dose
Do not exceed 1ml per 100 litres of aquarium water per day.
If a higher dose is required, divide the total amount over several days.
How to Use
- Test your aquarium water to determine the current cobalt concentration.
- Determine the required dosage based on your water test results and the aquarium's micronutrient consumption.
- Add the appropriate amount of Cobaltum to the aquarium.
- If a higher dose is required, divide the dose over several days.
- Monitor cobalt levels regularly.
- Adjust supplementation according to your aquarium's individual requirements.
Important Information
Every aquarium is different, and the final dosage depends on the coral population, micronutrient consumption, and individual aquarium needs.
Both micronutrient deficiencies and excessive levels can negatively affect aquarium inhabitants. Dosage should therefore be selected and modified based on regular AquaForest Lab water tests.
