Benefits
Finding the right adhesive for aquarium projects can make coral placement and aquascaping significantly easier. Aquaforest AF Poly Glue transforms from granules into a soft, mouldable adhesive when heated, allowing you to shape it around the item being attached.
For reef aquariums, it provides a practical solution for securing coral frags to rocks or plugs, helping establish permanent coral placement.
For freshwater setups, AF Poly Glue is particularly useful for creating complex aquascapes. Use it to connect small rocks and roots or attach epiphytic plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra and Microsorum.
Another major advantage is its reusability. If you have leftover adhesive, simply place it back into hot water to soften it and use it again.
How to Use
- Place the required amount of AF Poly Glue granules into hot water at approximately 90°C / 194°F.
- Leave the granules in the hot water for a few minutes.
- Once softened, remove the material and carefully form it into a mouldable mass.
- Shape the adhesive around the items you want to connect.
- For best results, perform the bonding outside of the aquarium.
- Attach the coral, rock, root or plant to the desired surface.
- Allow the bond to establish. Corals can be placed into the aquarium approximately 30 seconds after bonding.
- Once placed in the aquarium, the adhesive will become completely solid.
How to Reuse
Don't throw away leftover AF Poly Glue.
Simply place the remaining hardened or unused material back into hot water to soften it. Once pliable, it can be reshaped and reused for your next aquarium project.
This reusable design allows you to make full use of the product while reducing unnecessary waste.
